Medical Travel Insurance

Anyone who travels, whether occasionally on vacation or routinely on business, should consider the purchase of travel medical insurance. The three most common reasons for needing medical travel insurance are the coverage limitations under standard health plans, the high cost of emergency medical evacuations and provision of gap coverage when a person is otherwise uninsured.

Visitors insurance, also known as traveler’s medical insurance, is an international health insurance coverage made available to U.S. and non-U.S. citizens traveling outside of their native country for business or pleasure.
Non-U.S. citizens that are likely to qualify for visitors insurance are Green Card holders, non-immigrant Visa holders and temporary residents. Anyone over the age of two weeks can qualify for most international health insurance plans. Coverage can be for as little as five days up to two years and is usually renewable if there are no breaks.
